About Venue:
Complex beers are those that are thicker, richer, more flavorful and more spirituous (higher in alcohol content) than the ordinary. Taught by author of ‘Beer for Dummies,’ Marty Nachel specializes in the topic of beer and beer brewing from the consumer's perspective. In addition to the four books he has authored, his articles have appeared in numerous local, regional and national magazines. Students will sample several types of complex beer while learning about the creation process and drinking etiquette of beer.
**Complex Beer II class will feature different beers from Complex Beer I.
Located in the heart of Lincoln Park, the Local Option is just what its name conveys. Known for an authentic Cajun/Creole menu, and even more for the extensive beer selection—with 25 craft beers on tap and 135 more in bottle.
